Our Breaux Bridge Louisiana Bed and Breakfast , formerly known as the “Old City Hotel” is located within the Historic District and is the oldest structure in Breaux Bridge. It has provided bed and board Accommodationsto area residents, guests, and drummers (traveling salesmen) since the 1850’s.

The historically restored front section is a Creole cajun cottage c. 1812 with three sets of French doors opening onto the front gallery. Constructed of 4-inch hand-hewn beams, with mortise and tenon joints. It features baton and bousillage walls with plaster finish and 12-foot tall exposed beam ceilings.

As bayou traffic increased, the back section was added about 1880/1890, and the property became known as “The Bourdier Hotel and Livery Stable.” Since 1903 it has been known by locals as “The City Hotel.” This restoration project allows you to step back in time. Plan to stay here, take the day trips, explore our area and return in the evening to the serenity of this unique Cajun town.
